Hello, I'm jill
i'm so glad you're here.
Welcome to my little corner of the Rockies — where creativity meets community and every mountain view feels like home. I moved to Jasper from Hamilton, Ontario, years ago for a summer job… and somehow, I never left. The tight-knit community, the lakes, and that crisp mountain air have a way of convincing you to stay.
I’m a mom to two boys, Nash and Nolan, who keep life loud, funny, and full of love. My goal is to create portraits that feel like you — the kind you’ll hang on your walls, not just post online. Honest, heartfelt, and full of life — just like the place we call home.
more about me
- I’m a wastewater operator by day — nothing like a little math and chemistry to keep life balanced.
- I was a full-on scene kid in high school — eyeliner, band tees, and an early obsession with photography included.
- I genuinely love a good spreadsheet… and also a good margarita.
- I grew up in Hamilton, Ontario (go Ticats!).
- I love a good house project — bonus points if it involves paint, power tools, or reorganizing something that didn’t need it.

FAQ

How long will the session be?
Each session is approximately 15 minutes long. These short and sweet sessions are designed to capture genuine expressions and natural moments without overwhelming your little one. We move quickly, keep things light, and make every minute count.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE?
You will get to choose 5 of favourite photos from the proofing gallery I will deliver to you.
The photos will be hand-edited fine art portraits of your choice, in either black and white or colour.
where will our session be held?
All sessions are held in my home studio in Jasper, Alberta, a bright and welcoming space created for relaxed, personality-filled portraits.
Please note that while I have pets at home, our dog is kept separate and not present during photo sessions.
Can we book you for an outdoor session, pop-up event, or longer photoshoot?
Yes — my inbox is always open! My schedule is quite full right now, which is why the mini sessions work so well for me at this stage of life. That said, if we can make the timing work, I’d absolutely love to capture you.
Will you photograph siblings together?
Yes! I love capturing siblings together, and we’ll always try to get a few group shots after each child’s individual session. That said, sibling photos can be a bit unpredictable — sometimes it’s pure magic, and sometimes… not so much. Either way, we’ll do our best to make it fun and see what happens!
When and how will I receive my gallery?
You will receive your final edited gallery within 3-4 weeks via Pixieset, an online gallery where you can view, download, and share your images.
how should i dress my child for their session?
Neutral, solid colours and simple textures photograph best. Avoid logos, characters, or busy patterns that can pull attention away from your child’s expression.
The goal is to keep the look timeless and true to them — if there’s a favourite item or accessory that’s “so them,” include it!
Before arriving, make sure your little one’s face is clean and moisturized — it’s best to do this at home since most kids aren’t fans of mid-session wipe-downs. Try to come free of crumbs, boogies, and dry patches, so we can focus on capturing those sweet details.
Hair should be natural and simple, without accessories unless they’re meaningful or part of a cultural style. And one last thing — please remove any chipped nail polish or temporary tattoos before your session.
How much is a session?
Sessions are $175 per child (plus GST). Each child requires their own booking.
Families booking multiple children from the same immediate family will receive a 10% discount on each additional sibling session.
Your session includes 5 high-resolution, hand-edited images of your choice, selected from a curated gallery of approximately 20 images.
Cancellation Policy
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure each booking. Deposits may only be refunded within 24 hours of booking.
If you need to reschedule your session, please provide at least one week’s notice so the spot can be offered to another family.
You may transfer your session to another family if you are unable to attend.
Cancellations made with less than one week’s notice will result in the deposit being non-transferable, except in cases of illness, family emergency, or other extenuating circumstances.
